Local design studio Hemingway Design works together with designer James Shaw to alter the look of a London store for charity retail brand Traid. It now highlights colorful furniture that is made using recycled clothing. The studio renovates the Shepherd's Bush location as a part of a larger rebrand to celebrate the retailer's 25th anniversary.
Traid sells clothing and accessories that have been donated throughout its 12 store locations throughout the city. This works with the notion of tackling issues that were caused by producing and wasting textiles. Hemingway Design notes, "To align with Traid's manifesto of reducing waste and prolonging the lifespan of items, a fundamental objective of the refurb was to reuse and repurpose existing fixtures and fittings within the store where possible."
